CARROLLTON, Texas – The Texas men's golf team fired a six-over 294 in the second round of the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational at the Maridoe Golf Club on Monday. The Longhorns currently sit in fourth place (+21, 597), five shots back of leaders Oklahoma State, heading into Tuesday's final round.
Junior Parker Coody produced the best round by a Longhorn on Monday, firing an even-par 72. He recorded two birdies and two bogeys during his trip around the course. Coody is currently 3-over for the tournament and tied for 11th place individually.
Junior Cole Hammer is the only Longhorn above Coody on the leaderboard after two rounds, as Hammer bounced back from a pair of double bogeys in his opening five holes to post a 3-over 75 Monday afternoon.
