LAREDO, Texas – The Texas Men's Golf team concluded its first tournament of the spring on Tuesday, placing second at the Border Olympics. The Longhorns shot a 6-over 870 as a team and were buoyed by three top-five individual finishers.
Hunter Ostrom, a graduate transfer, was the best of the bunch this week, as she shot a 4-under 212 to finish tied atop the leaderboard with Texas A&M's Dan Erickson. Ostrom was bested by Erickson on the second playoff hole to fall just shy of winning individual medalist honors on Tuesday.
Behind him, senior Christoffer Bring shot a 3-under 213 over three rounds at the Laredo Country Club.
