FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Texas Men's Golf team dropped a 3-2 decision against Stanford on Wednesday morning in the NCAA Championship match at Blessings Golf Club. With the defeat, the Longhorns have now finished as NCAA runner-up a total of six times in program history (1949, 1983, 1989, 1994, 2016 and 2019).
The match was originally scheduled to begin at 2:10 p.m. Central. However, the threat of inclement weather in the Fayetteville area forced the NCAA Committee to start the title match at 6:45 a.m. Central.
Freshman Parker Coody concluded his outstanding performance at the NCAA Championships with a 6&5 victory against Daulet Tuleubayev.
