MANHATTAN, Kan. — Sophomore guard Jase Febres recorded a career-high 23 points, including a career-best 7-of-9 from three-point range, to lead The University of Texas Men's Basketball team to a 67-47 win at Kansas State (10-3, 0-1 Big 12) on Wednesday night at Bramlage Coliseum in the Big 12 Conference opener for both teams. Texas (9-4, 1-0 Big 12) converted 14-of-27 (.519) from three-point range as a team, including a 9-of-11 (.818) mark in the decisive second half.
The Longhorns assisted on 87 percent (20-23) of their made field goals. This marked UT's highest assist-to-field goal ratio of the season and the third time Texas has recorded at least 20 assists in a game this year.
