AUSTIN, Texas — Junior guard Elijah Mitrou-Long and sophomore guard Jase Febres each registered a team-high 16 points to lead The University of Texas Men's Basketball team (7-3) to a 98-60 win against Grand Canyon (5-5) on Saturday night at the Frank Erwin Center. The Longhorns had five players reach double figures in scoring and set team season highs in points, field goals made (37), three-point field goals made (16), field goal percentage (58.7), three-point field goal percentage (53.3) and assists (22) en route to the 38-point victory.
Mitrou-Long, who celebrated his 22nd birthday on Saturday, set his UT career high in scoring while converting 6-of-8 field goals, including a perfect 3-of-3 from three-point range, and added 4 rebounds, 4 assists without a turnover and 2 steals in 28 minutes.
