AUSTIN, Texas – Senior guard Kendal Yancy contributed a team-high 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting off the bench, but a late basket from D.J. Johnson gave Kansas State a 64-61 victory over Texas on Saturday afternoon at the Frank Erwin Center. Yancy led a Texas bench that outscored the Wildcats bench by a 23-6 margin. Freshman forward Jarrett Allen scored 12 points and tied a season-high with three steals.
Wesley Iwundu led Kansas State (17-10, 6-8 Big 12) with 16 points and seven rebounds.
