AUSTIN, Texas — Graduate guard Max Abmas recorded a team-high 20 points, but No. 4/4 Houston (19-2, 6-2 Big 12) earned a hard-fought 76-72 overtime victory over Texas (14-7, 3-5 Big 12) before a sellout crowd at Moody Center on Monday night. The Longhorns played their fourth-consecutive game against an AP Top 25 opponent and lost in Moody Center for the first time in a contest against a ranked foe (7-1 in Moody against AP Top 25 teams).
Abmas converted 6-of-15 field goals and 6-of-8 free throws to go along with five assists and five rebounds in a season-high 43 minutes.
