AUSTIN - There are many factors for the preseason optimism surrounding the 2020-21 Texas Men's Basketball team. Every one of last year's 12 scholarship players, who each played a pivotal role in a victory at some point during the season, returns and the Longhorns add a consensus top-10 national recruit in freshman Greg Brown to the rotation.
But there's a saying when it comes to college basketball in general that a team will go as far as its guards will lead them. UT's backcourt trio of senior Matt Coleman III and juniors Andrew Jones and Courtney Ramey give head coach Shaka Smart and his staff reason to smile.
