LUBBOCK, Texas — Graduate forward Dylan Disu recorded a game-high 21 points and graduate guard Max Abmas added 18 points to lead Texas (18-10, 7-8 Big 12) to an impressive 81-69 victory at Texas Tech (19-9, 8-7 Big 12) on Tuesday night before a sellout crowd at United Supermarkets Arena. The Longhorns scored the game's opening six points and never trailed or were tied during the contest.
Defense and rebounding proved to be keys in Tuesday's win. Texas held the Red Raiders to 35.6-percent (21-59) field goal shooting, including a 31.8-percent mark (7-22) from three-point range, and claimed a plus-14 rebound margin (44-30).
