McKinney Boyd's Tyrese Robinson explains cutting off Texas, Baylor in favor of Oklahoma

When McKinney Boyd coach Don Drake introduced his star offensive lineman, Tyrese Robinson, at the school's signing day ceremony on Wednesday, he spoke about Robinson's commitment.

Robinson, a four-star recruit according to 247 Sports' composite ratings, pledged to Oklahoma back in January 2016 and never wavered from that even as other schools recruited him.

Robinson said Texas A&M and Georgia were on him hard for a long tim.

"After a while they kind of got the memo that I wasn't going to go there," Robinson said.

Instead, Robinson is headed to Oklahoma as one of five of SportsDayHS' top 15 area recruits to become Sooners.
