Maryland head football coach D.J. Durkin has been put on administrative leave in the aftermath of Friday's bombshell ESPN report that alleges a "toxic culture" and repeated instances of abusing players under Durkin's tenure.
The most notable instance in the report involved Maryland offensive lineman Jordan McNair, who died in June as a result of a heat stroke caused from exhaustive sprints in a team workout just two weeks prior.
Maryland athletic director Damon Evans released the following statement on Saturday regarding Durkin's suspension:
