Texas might be back.
At the very least, Tom Herman’s team continues to climb the rankings. On Sunday, the Longhorns moved up to the No. 6 spot in the latest Associated Press poll.
UT was previously ranked No. 9, but Ohio State, previously ranked No. 2, dropped seven spots after getting upset by Purdue on Saturday night.
Texas currently occupies first place in the Big 12 (4-0) and would secure a bid in the conference title game by winning out.
And if the Longhorns win out and win the Big 12 championship game, it’s possible they’ll be in the conversation for one of the four College Football Playoff spots.
