KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Texas Women's Swimming and Diving freshman Lydia Jacoby won the national title in the 100-yard breaststroke to highlight day three of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center. Texas is in second place with 272.5 points through the first three days of competition. Virginia is first with 374.5 points and Stanford sits in third with 239 points, while Louisville (191.5) and NC State (190) round out the top five.
Jacoby is the first Longhorn to win a national title since Murphy Bromberg won on platform in 2019 and the first Texas swimmer to win gold at the national meet since 2013, when Laura Sogar won the 200-yard breaststroke.
