Consternation on the Texas Longhorns interwebs that began when players released photos in the 2018 uniforms that appeared to show a brighter shade of burnt orange was put to rest on Tuesday evening when creative director and social media director Matt Lange released a comparison photo over the years:
The concern surfaced with a tweet from a barbecue owner in Houston who asked Texas athletics director Chris Del Conte about the seeming discrepancy, which was a result of lighting and filters used on the pictures posted publicly by players.
Del Conte promised to look into the issue, but now it’s clear that it was much ado about nothing.
