Ben Johnson singled in Brooks Marlow in the top of the 14th inning to lift the Texas baseball team to a 3-2 victory over the the Kansas Jayhawks at Lawrence, Kan., on Friday night. The win ended a two-game losing streak for the Longhorns (20-18, 7-6).
C.J Hinojosa was 3-for-6 with two RBIs and a double to lead the Longhorns. Parker French pitched six strong innings, allowing one run on four hits with five strikeouts.
After Texas scored two in the fifth to go up 2-1, Michael Tinsley drove home Justin Protacio to tie the game in the eighth inning.
