Texas quarterback Shane Buechele, who started 19 games for the Longhorns before losing the job to Sam Ehlinger this past season, has informed UT coaches that he wants to explore leaving for another school as a graduate transfer, sources told ESPN.
Orangebloods reported on Wednesday that Buechele, a rising senior from Arlington, Texas, asked UT coaches to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal, which would allow other schools to contact him.
A source told ESPN's Jake Trotter on Thursday that Buechele hadn't yet been entered into the transfer portal.
