An elite home-grown defensive prospect finally has a Texas Longhorns offer in hand.
On Saturday evening, Austin LBJ cornerback Latrell McCutchin, arguably the top in-state cornerback in his class, took to Twitter to announce on offer from Tom Herman’s program.
McCutchin’s Texas offer, of course, marked his first of the month, but May provided numerous opportunities as Arizona, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, and Missouri each jumped into the mix.
247Sports’ Gabe Brooks detailed what makes McCutchin such a coveted prospect:
“Rangy cornerback with good height relative to the position. North of 6 feet as a sophomore with good frame potential for a corner.
