For the second time in as many days, a Longhorns guard has opted to leave the program.
Junior Eric Davis Jr. announced he will be pursuing a professional career on Wednesday afternoon, making him the fourth Texas player this offseason to forego another year on the 40 Acres. Davis joins Kerwin Roach and Mo Bamba as draft-bound Longhorns, while guard Jacob Young has decided to transfer.
Davis averaged 8.8 points per game in 2017-18, shooting 34.8 percent from three. However, he missed the final three weeks of the season after Texas officials opted to hold him from competition.
