Texas learned its NCAA Tournament fate on Sunday afternoon, and the selection committee opted to send the Longhorns dancing for the second time in three seasons. Texas was given the No. 10 seed in the South region, facing off against No. 7 Nevada on Friday.
The Longhorns will play the Wolfpack in Nashville. Nevada enters the NCAA Tournament following a semifinals appearance in the Mountain West Tournament. The winner will face either No. 2 Cincinnati or No. 15 Georgia State on Sunday.
The burnt orange last reached the NCAA Tournament in 2016. Texas fell in its first round matchup against Northern Iowa that season, losing to the Panthers on a half-court buzzer-beater.
