In announcing redshirt sophomore quarterback Quinn Ewers will be back under center this week versus TCU, Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian also elaborated on backup redshirt freshman Maalik Murphy’s taking over signal-caller duties in recent weeks.
“I think there are a lot of things that he did the last two weeks he should be very proud of,” Sarkisian said this week, according to On3. “He really tried to execute our game plans at a high level. I thought his ability to throw the deep ball was very evident in both games.
