After a cheap hit during the Texas Longhorns’ win in Ann Arbor last weekend, Longhorns center Jake Majors bowed up to Michigan Wolverines defensive lineman Cameron Brandt after the Wolverine hit Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers after having taken a knee.
Granted, Michigan avoided a penalty on the play. Still, Majors and his offensive line peers still stuck up for the third-year starting quarterback, who’s dealt with regular season injuries in the past.
“I just made it clear that that’s not what we are going to do here. I understand we are at their place, but you are not going to hit a quarterback who just took a knee,” Majors said earlier this week, according to Sports Illustrated.
