The college football world is desperate for the Texas Longhorns to experience a quarterback controversy after starter Quinn Ewers went down versus UTSA and was replaced by backup Arch Manning, who went on to score five touchdowns that day.
ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum has taken note of the supposed controversy.
Finebaum even believes Manning has what it takes to lead Texas to a national championship. “He proved that he can take this team to the national championship,” Finebaum said of Manning, according to Sports Illustrated. “I know that Quinn Ewers has a lot more experience than Arch Manning but from what I saw from Arch Manning on Saturday, what everyone saw, has me convinced that there is not much of a drop off.
