It’s likely safe to say that Texas Longhorns wide receiver Johntay Cook is pumped to begin Southeastern Conference play this weekend versus a lowly Mississippi State Bulldogs.
“This is the baby NFL, that’s what they call it,” Johntay Cook said Monday, per Inside Texas, describing the athletic difference between the SEC and Big Ten, which are both increasingly becoming known as the “Power 2,” and runner-ups like Texas’ most recent former league, the Big 12, and the ACC, the latter of which gets complicated.
“[We] just want to show them what we’ve got,” Cook added.
