Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian tends to keep a level head.
There’s no exception for the Red River Rivalry week either, when Texas and the Oklahoma Sooners travel to Dallas to face off in their annual Cotton Bowl clash. Sarkisian just gets it.
More importantly, he understands how seismic games like it work.
“It’s a rivalry game. Forget whatever we’re favored or we’re not, it doesn’t matter. The records and things don’t matter in games like this,” Sarkisian said earlier this week, per On3.
One advantage is Texas’ depth at quarterback, of course.
