AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas is among the national leaders in draft success in both the National Football League (NFL) and National Basketball Association (NBA) since the 2000 drafts. During that time, the Longhorns have totaled 28 first-round picks between the two leagues, which is good for fifth-most in the nation. Football has totaled 16 first-round picks while Men's Basketball has had 12 selections. Texas joins North Carolina as the only two schools with at least 10 first-round picks in each league, while the Longhorns are the only one with at least 12 in each.
