Wilbon’s decision comes just a week after making an unofficial visit to Texas.
“The fact that it’s a major program is very appealing to me,” WIlbon told Horns247 after the trip. “I also love the tradition and the history of the school.”
At 6-foot-3, 311 pounds, Wilbon is ranked as the No. 67 defensive tackle in the country and No. 63 overall prospect in the state of Louisiana, according to 247Sports Composite.
Wilbon is the sixth pledge in the 2016 class.
Landing Wilbon alleviates some (there is still plenty trust me) of the need to land defensive tackles for this class, but if you are Strong, you still need to recruit guys like Kendall Jones and Jordan Elliott until they sign in February.
