One of Shaka Smart’s top recruiting priorities was retaining the commitment of Eric Davis, who committed to the Longhorns when Barnes was still running the program. Davis announced his intention to stick with Texas, and his ability to score from anywhere on the floor is something the Horns drastically need.
The four-star shooting guard from Michigan, is a smooth operator from the perimeter and a gifted scorer. Davis, at 6-foot-3, 173 pounds will fill a big hole on Texas’ roster for a shooting guard with size that can stroke it and is big enough to play defense on bigger guards.
