Tyrone Swoopes has all of Longhorn Nation watching him. Locked in a battle with redshirt freshman Jerrod Heard, the junior came out strong at Texas’ first fall practice.
After one day, at least, it looked like Swoopes was the better QB. He was sharp with his short and intermediate throws, and connected on a beautiful pass to Marcus Johnson, who was being defended by strong safety Dylan Haines.
