Rick Barnes, who is now the head basketball coach of the Tennessee Volunteers, speaks out for the first time about the recently published accusations of academic dishonesty that allegedly occurred during his time at Texas. Barnes says the allegations, originally reported by the Chronicles of Higher Education, “have no legs.” The former Texas coach told the AP:
“If you read the article, from my point of view, there’s no legs to it.I think Texas has said everything that needed to be said. I’m sure they’ll proceed with whatever they think they have to do there, but it was made clear that I had no involvement in it, which I knew.
