Longhorn Headlines: Paul Boyette Jr. Having Solid Fall Camp

Last season Malcolm Brown, Hassan Ridgeway and Desmond Jackson stole the headlines along the defensive line. But Paul Boyette Jr. filled in admirably after Jackson went down. So far this fall he looks ready to build upon his 2014 success.

Boyette had a really strong spring and has followed that up with a solid first week’s worth of practices.

You can tell the coaching staff is relying on him to be a key cog in the middle of Texas’ defense, and he appears to be taking them up on that. With Hassan Ridgeway currently not practicing due to injury, Boyette has emerged, along with Tank Jackson, as a leader of the defensive line.
