Dallas Baptist put an end to Texas’ season with a 8-1 drubbing of the Longhorns in the Dallas Regional elimination game.
Dallas Baptist starting pitcher Cory Taylor tossed a complete game and left fielder Justin Wall provided six RBIs to knock the Texas baseball team out of the NCAA Tournament, 8-1, Sunday afternoon in an elimination game at Horner Ballpark.
The loss en-capsulizes what has been the Texas season – no offense to support a pitching staff not as dominant as the year before.
Really, Sunday’s loss is just the continuation of what had been a pattern for Texas early in the season.
