When Charlie Strong first arrived Austin, most of the fan base was concerned about his ability handle the role of the “Face of Texas Football” and all the public responsibilities that came along with coaching at a major college program. However, heading into his second season with the Longhorns, it appears that all the fans’ concerns were for naught, and while he may not be Mack Brown in that regard, he’s certainly proving that he is more than capable of handling it his own way.
Coaching football is — and more precisely, returning Texas to national prominence is — but there’s also a lot more to Strong than simply being a football coach.
