Offensive lineman Camrhon Hughes stepped into the starting lineup late in the season. Now the former four-star recruit is reportedly leaving the team before fall practice starts.
A Rivals.com report Wednesday afternoon cited sources stating junior offensive tackle Camrhon Hughes will not return to the team for the 2015 season. The 6-foot-6-inch, 324-pound former Top247 lineman from Harker Heights has two seasons of eligibility remaining at Texas.
Hughes started six games in 2014 despite entering the season as a complete afterthought. With the Longhorns in need of depth Hughes stepped up, but he fell behind in the pecking order during the spring and currently doesn’t appear as though he’s going get much playing time this fall.
