Lil'Jordan Humphrey evolved into the Longhorns' best player, but his decision about the NFL draft will hinge on this

AUSTIN - The subject was trash talking and Lil'Jordan Humphrey recalled one telling exchange from Texas' first meeting with Oklahoma.

Early in the game, a Sooner defensive back did his best to get Humphrey off his game with an accusation. So what did he say?

"That I was soft," Humphrey said. "That's the funniest thing I heard."

Of course, that was before the 6-4, 225-pound junior receiver, with help from his linemen, added 12 yards to a short gain by moving the pile and giving Texas a manageable first down. Coach Tom Herman called it a "culture play," the sort of effort that sends a message within the team.
