AUSTIN, Texas – Haftu Knight etched his way into Texas history at the 2022 NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday morning.
With a 20-second personal best in the 10k at 29:27.9 and a 27th-place finish, Knight became the 20th Cross Country All-American in Texas history. This marks the second-straight season Texas has had an All-American honoree and 26th overall.
Knight's finish is the best finish for Texas since Sam Worley also finished 27th in 2019.
The top 40 runners in the race earned All-America honors.
