Since Texas Longhorns junior right tackle Cam Williams left Saturday’s 38-24 win over the Clemson Tigers in Austin, the prognosis on his knee injury has been positive.
During an introductory press conference for the Peach Bowl on Monday, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said that the MRI that Williams underwent on Saturday evening was merely precautionary and that the medical staff is “comfortable” with the injury.
“Again, it’s not as serious as we thought,” Sarkisian said.
As a first-year starter, Williams has struggled with penalties — according to Pro Football Focus, the 15 penalties committed by the 6’5, 335-pounder are the second-most nationally.
