OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.—Starting pitcher Nolan Kingham tossed a complete game and Texas Baseball defeated Kansas, 5-4, on Thursday night in game two of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship. With the win, the Longhorns move to 2-0 in the tournament and will face the winner of Kansas/TCU on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
The Longhorns got out to an early lead for Kingham, putting up a four-spot in the second inning off KU righty Jackson Goddard (5-4). Zane Gurwitz singled up the middle to open the inning and Bret Boswell followed with a single of his own to put two on with no outs.
