Just days after visiting Austin for the victory over the Iowa State Cyclones, Butler CC defensive end Jacoby Jones ended his recruitment on Wednesday evening by committing to the Texas Longhorns:
The 6’4, 250-pounder surfaced on the recruiting radar when he took a visit to the Forty Acres in late May, a visit that ultimately produced an offer.
However, Jones committed to Oklahoma during September, a decision that seemingly eliminated Texas from contention. The Longhorns staff didn’t give up, though, and Jones re-opened his recruitment a little more than a week ago.
When visited Austin for a second time, Texas seemingly took a clear lead in his recruitment.
