COLUMBIA, Mo. – As if Teagan Kavan's name wasn't already sprinkled throughout Texas' softball record book prior to Saturday, the sophomore right-handed sharpied her name into it by tossing the 57th no-hitter in program history during the Longhorns' 8-0, five-inning win at Missouri. Kavan's no-hitter on Saturday was the first by a Longhorn pitcher since Mac Morgan no-hit Siena over seven innings on May 17, 2024.
Over the course of the 1-hour, 40-minute game, Kavan tossed 77 pitches to 17 Missouri batters. She forced two flyouts – both to Ashton Maloney in right field – and two groundouts: one to Mia Scott at third base and one to herself in the pitching circle.
