BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Softball fans weren't the only ones tuned into Teagan Kavan's performances throughout last weekend's Bevo Classic as the Southeastern Conference announced Monday afternoon that Texas' sophomore right-handed pitcher was named the SEC's Pitcher of the Week.
Monday's honor is the third time Kavan has been selected as a league's pitcher of the week after being named the Big 12's Pitcher of the Week on March 5th and March 26th as a freshman in the 2024 campaign.
In two starts against No. 11/8 Texas Tech on the Forty Acres over the weekend, Kavan limited the Red Raider offense to just one run and zero extra base hits in 13.
