AUSTIN, Texas – After leading the Canadian Women's National Team (CANWNT) to an Olympic Gold Medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, former University of Texas women's soccer student-athlete Julia Grosso has been selected to represent her home country, Canada, at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Canada Soccer announced on Monday morning.

Grosso, a Vancouver, British Columbia native, is one of four midfielders on the 22-member (18 players, four alternates) team. The 2024 Olympic Games will mark the first time CANWNT will take the pitch at a Summer Olympics without long-time team captain and the world's all-time leader for international goals scored for men or women Christine Sinclair, who participated in each of the last four Summer Olympics.
