Jordan Spieth entered the second round on Friday in good shape to challenge for the Shell Houston Open Title over the weekend.
But, Spieth bogeyed six holes on Friday and shot a 77 on the day. Spieth added a birdie on 15 to salvage an otherwise tough outing in Houston.
After two rounds, Spieth finished +2, falling below the projected cut line of -1.
It was a tough turnaround finishing the First Round late Thursday evening and starting up again early Friday morning, as Spieth did not look himself.
The silver lining is this gives Spieth a few extra days to mentally and physically prepare for The Masters next weekend in Augusta.
