Austin, Texas – Texas Athletics is proud to announce Texas music legend and Grammy Award-winning artist Jimmie Vaughan as the inaugural headliner of Longhorn City Limits, taking place prior to Texas Football's home opener versus Tulsa on Saturday. Sept. 8. Vaughan, whose musical career has been at the center of the Austin music scene for over five decades, was honored by both the Texas House and Senate as the Texas State Musician for 2015. That same year, he also had the pleasure of accepting the honor of induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on behalf of his late brother, Stevie Ray Vaughan.
