A favored quote by Texas Longhorns athletics director Chris Del Conte is prevalent on Wednesday morning at the Frank Denius Family University of Texas Hall of Fame as the Longhorns, aligned in leadership, reap the reward of parlaying Del Conte’s relationship with now-former Texas A&M Aggies head coach Jim Schlossnagle into an introductory press conference some 35 hours or so following Schlossnagle’s now-infamous rant in the wake of the Aggies falling to the Tennessee Volunteers 6-5 on Monday evening in the decisive third game of the College World Series finals.
