Jesuit alum and PGA star Jordan Spieth calls professional autograph seekers 'scum'

Jesuit alum Jordan Spieth, now one of the world's top golfers, refused to sign autographs from some professional autograph-seekers Wednesday after a practice round for the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Spieth said he enjoys signing autographs for kids and charities, but he doesn't like the professional autograph hounds.

He talked about the incident in an interview.

"I'm not appreciative of people who travel to benefit off of other people's success. I enjoy signing, and sign for kids whenever we get the chance, and when these guys have these items that you've already seen online -- and our team keeps track of that kind of stuff -- and these guys just have bags of stuff to benefit from other people's success when they didn't do anything themselves.
