BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Former University of Texas basketball standout Jarrett Allen was selected as the No. 22 pick by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2017 NBA Draft on Thursday evening at Barclays Center. Allen is the 16th first-round selection in the NBA Draft in UT program history.
"I'm super excited for Jarrett and his family," Texas head coach Shaka Smart said. "This is a life-changing day. I truly believe he will continue to make explosive growth. He has all the attributes of a player who will get better and better with time.
