LONDON – In the final of the women's 4x400 meter relay at the IAAF World Championships, Chrisann Gordon was going for her second gold as the Jamaican's were defending champions.
That goal came to a halt in the second leg when Jamaica's Anneisha McLaughon-Whilby pulled up with an apparent leg injury about 50 meters into her run.
Gordon ran the opening leg for Jamaica and had her team in contention handing the baton off among the leaders.
Earlier in the championship, Gordon finished 10th in the individual 400 meters clocking 50.
