FUKUOKA, Japan – Texas Swimming's Lydia Jacoby collected gold in the 4x100-meter relay with the United States on Sunday at the Marine Messe Fukuoka on the final day of the World Aquatics Championships. Jacoby competed in the preliminary heat, swimming the breaststroke leg and helping Team USA to the second-fastest time in the round.
Jacoby joined United States teammates Katharine Berkhoff, Torri Huske and Abbey Weitzeil to register a time of 3:56.31 during the prelim stage, 0.38 seconds behind Canada. In the final race of the championships, the quartet of Regan Smith, Lilly King, Gretchen Walsh and Kate Douglass came away with the 4x100 medley relay gold in 3:52.
