AUSTIN -- Maybe it was sheer fate what Will Grier did to Sam Ehlinger and the Texas Longhorns on Saturday afternoon.
The West Virginia senior quarterback, one of the nation's elite at the position and a destined NFL Draft pick, turned his final drive of the Mountaineers' 42-41 victory over the Longhorns into the defining moment of his already impressive season.
Last year the defining moment of Grier's season was a negative. That moment also came against Texas. During the first quarter of the meeting with the Longhorns in Morgantown last November, Grier scrambled toward the corner of the end zone and dove for the pylon, reaching the ball out in the process.
