When Duncanville quarterback Ja’Quinden Jackson on Monday committed to Texas, the Longhorns received more than a verbal pledge from one of the country’s best Class of 2020 athletes.
Perhaps it was also a sign of the program’s successful recruiting future in Dallas.
If Texas soon begins to rival Big 12 foe Oklahoma at securing commitments from top Dallas-area players, the Longhorns likely could thank a new assistant: quality control coach Ra’Shaad Samples.
Samples is the son of Duncanville head coach Reginald Samples, whom has built a legendary coaching resume with stops at Lincoln and Skyline, too.
